Smartphones losing their Batteries

There's that saying that Smartphones and computers are getting smarter.

I disagree on a very high level.

As my Computer Science teacher once stated, "Computers and Smartphones are dumb, all they do is what you tell it to do."

For instance:

I was trying to help a friend with her Apple phone, this was the iphone 5 s or c, which ever is not the newest (not an apple fanatic) and this phone would not cooperate with anything, so I ended up, having to delete all the apps and itunes, movies, whatever.

Then redownload them, and it worked. Of course if you want to do anything via computer, you are forced to using itunes, which is also a mess and confusing.


The computers are screwy as well and only last two or three years, even if they are well cared for.

Apple is out

Next is the Android, another friend has the Galaxy Stellar and there was no space left on the phone. it said I need to clean up pictures, videos, etc.

How do they expect me to delete items if I cannot access them on the phone? So I had to plug it into the computer and delete them through the folder.

Android and Samsung is out

Then there is the newest Blackberry, I unfortunately have this. It turns off at random times with a full charge, in order to get the pictures I cannot connect it to a computer without downloading some program so I am reduced to sending the pictures one-by-one to my e-mail.

The only sensible phone is Windows.

The Windows 8 phone can connect you anywhere, it's easy to work with, and you don't have to download any software to connect it to the computer. No glitch, no lag, no crash.

and you can just click and drag music, movies, videos and others. and it has the Tap-to-Send option.

I miss that phone.

Of course I would be happy with the good ol' Nokia.

Which by the way, Apple, and Android do not have shock resistance (they stop working or crack with one drop). Blackberry and Window phones do.

Creators are Copy Cats

I finally emerged from the stone age and (makes annoyed Sideshow bob groan) updated to the new iOS update.

The entire process reminds me greatly of the Windows phone and the Google Nexus.

It's too flashy and too similar.

Though I prefer Windows.


After the update, all my audiobooks were shuffled in the albums list... and I cannot figure out how to fix it without reloading everything (again...) through itunes.


Technology is too confusing and all similar, there are very few dissimilar qualities.

Intertwining Relations

I am currently writing a story that I hope to be published... soon...

I already have the manuscript down, the characters and their traits and such.

For my main protagonist, I was trying to find a different name that had the same meaning and it was incredible because I stumbled on a site that explained the symbolic meaning of the name's meaning. 

I have the website linked if you want to view your meaning but what I found is that the meaning of the meaning intertwined so well with my protagonist.

i.e.:

"[They] demand our commitment to learning their wisdom... do not reveal their meanings unless they are convinced we've devoted ourselves completely to the path of understanding both dark and light sides of energy"

they also include three specific details that define my protagonist: Higher Intelligence, Higher Thought, Higher Ideals

I am very happy I have this name and meaning for the character, 

Also this meaning was found after  I wrote the story.

The Proceeding Battle with Political Correctness!

I was writing a paper for class (too old to do homework but oh well...)

and I was talking about Hamlet's mother, Gertrude, and how she could mope and moan all she wanted (until she married that dastardly Claudius) and she did not have to work because she was a Queen and had:

servants and maids. 

Word Doc then gets on my tail about saying "maids" and says

"No, No Abels, maids is not the right thing to say. you must say House Workers" 

I wanted to smack the living daylights out of those people who have political correctness issued in word docs.


Word doc officially hates me now because I am Old Fashioned and I prefer using a passive voice.

So now they don't have the English Thesaurus up, but they have the French one.


I will not give up so easily word doc, you cannot beat me into submission with your 'proper' politically correct ways!

Losing The Psych!

I am hearing things. (When do I not XD)

But last night, during class, we were talking about this short story called "The Yellow Wallpaper"

I told my professor that I had to stop reading every few moments because I felt like I was going insane!!!

During that whole time I heard a ringing noise, it was driving me insane.

then during break, I asked him if I could turn off the speakers to the computer (That's what made the noise) and I told him.  He and the classmates thought I was insane because they could not hear it. LOL After the speakers were off the noise went away (yay)

After break, we are talking about the "Uncanny" and the very first picture  he showed was a clown. ._.

(I hate clowns)

This clown had his head tilted down and looked off screen but I could not look at the PICTURE because I thought his gaze would look at me. Last time this happened, I saw a dark shadow staring at me in the passenger side of the car. *shudders* 

Then today, walking upstairs, I heard a pen click. there was nothing there. 

I mean I have only had three... well six cups of coffee... I have a large mug so it probably counts as two each... 

Sexist Remarks Make Bad Conversation Starters

Okay, I'm writing a story and Word Doc is calling me a Sexist. 

Word Doc calls out on me for saying “waitress” because it’s a,  quote sexist unquote, remark.

But it also calls me out for saying “themselves” instead of “Himself or Herself ” which defines men and women as two different beings.

The “female waiter” has a meaning because, one of the guys recognizes her (in my story, duh)

AND when I say “themselves” I am talking about a group of guys… (five guys who are having a good time, well save one...)

 That's the problem with today's society, everything that defines a woman is sexist and you can't get around it! 
It's like trying to explain a color to a blind person.

"Oh this rose is red"

"What's red?"

"Um... red?"

"But what IS red?"

"It's a color."

"What's a color?"

...

Sorry, now I’m nitpicking here…

I Loathe All Phone Companies

my profile picture works so perfectly right now.

I got an idiot from the Verizon chat service saying "oh I can activate your phone you just need to receive this text message"

I can't receive the message because the SIM card does not work therefore the dummy phone does not have my phone number.

Then I finally call and the woman said, you need a new SIM card for the dummy phone, which you need to get from a Verizon store and activate it there. she also said an "authorized" person can activate it, I'm not on that list even though I know the damn password.

Last night I was editing some of my writing when I  unknowingly fell asleep. I did not even know I was asleep!

But!

I heard this voice say "Continue." so clearly and close as if he was whispering. (it sounded like a male voice)

I woke up so fast that I craned my neck, but there was no one in my room and I was shaken.



Well it could have been the poltergeist too....

the Five Senses (and possibly Six)

I think I absentmindedly scratch myself at night. and I'm not talking about "getting rid of itches" I am talking about legit scars.

In my dream I was battling a cat, a snake, and a rabbit to stop them from fighting each other and the cat scratched me... and I felt a scratch happen on my cheek.

I woke up and there was no cat in the room, this was 2 in the morning and I had my hand near my cheek  (mind you I have sharp nails. as my friends will say... love you guys ^_^)

But then in another part of the dream, there was this ring master with a UMP 45 in one hand and a long black leather whip in the other.

(Yes I remember the details, don't judge me)

I heard him shoot in the air and make the whip crack and he made some white tiger appear from nowhere and attack me. and the tiger scratched my forearm, I saw it bleeding horribly... I even smelled blood on my hands when I tried to cease the flow.

This morning, when I woke up there were three parallel scratches on my arm and four thin scratches on my cheek.

(Oh and a scar on my shoulder, I've no idea where that came from...)

But the only remnants of the scars are just the latter on my shoulder.

The others are gone.

Help!

I know this is really horrible, but I am losing my mind.

I am already on my third cup of coffee and it's not even 11am.
I woke up late because I was writing more.

And I nearly killed one of my characters! (the lover of the main character)

This is not like peaceful die-in-your-sleep kill, the main character is poisoned and she is suffering because her (literally) morbid sister caught the companion of the character and a support and the sister nearly murdered them with the exact same blade that she used on the main character.

I won't say anymore now but after I wrote this, I was thinking that I've absolutely lost my mind. 

Plus every time I keep hearing that music I like, I'm getting more and more ideas but I cannot write them down because I am driving or doing something that take me away from it...

I try to keep up with it but it is is sometimes overwhelming...

Neurotic Sims - Maxie Million Pt 1

I do not play Sims religiously, but I do play it. I usually make a normal, or what can be defined as normal, character. This time, I went the other way.

I made a Sim named Maxie Million, she lives by herself in a three story house, works at the medical building, and is whacked out. She sleeps in her formal wear and goes out in public, while it's raining in her swimwear.

Her traits are:

Neurotic
Techno-phobic
Eco-Friendly
Insane
OCD Neat


The choices for careers were Alchemy Artisan, Cross breeder, and Medical, (which is kind of odd...)

She has only lived for two days and already she:

smashed the tele that was in the home (got a furnished home),

Checked every sink to make sure they were off,

And started a fire, which was kind of funny.


She was making waffles in the morning before work when the oven caught fire, then the counter next to it. I think she is a pyromaniac because she did not freak out when the fire started, and you know when there's a fire their moodlet drops insanely fast? This did not happen. the Plumbob was still in the green.

 (By the way, she was in her swimwear when this happened) so when the fireman, well it was a woman, arrives, she puts out the fire then she boos Maxie.

So after that whole ordeal, my crazy Sim wants a fire alarm and security alarm in her lifetime wishes. So I put them up. lol

I am going to have a lot of fun messing with this psycho. I wonder what would happen if she gets attacked by zombies... (I have the supernatural expansion).

More to come tomorrow. I'll update on what she does haha. and get pictures.

In Lieu of Mother's Day and Month

Why in Gaia's/or God's Green Earth would you ever yell or talk back to your mother, or father?

We are talking about a person who birthed you fed you and provided for you and spent her life from the moment you are born to raise you and support you so you have a better life than they did when they were younger.  And yet you (not actually saying you, you) show no sign of gratefulness in your pathetic life.

Yes mother's, and father's, will scold you, or ground you but they are trying to teach you not to make the same mistakes so they can be sure that you grow to be a trustworthy and respectable person in this dark Earth.

Parents are the best and closest friends, besides siblings, you can ever have because they do have experience in life and know the system.

Your parents will not be around to help or support you forever. So next time you even think of opening your filthy mouth to retaliate, just know they loved you enough to not put you in an adoption center, or asylum.

When Antagonists Annoy You.

So say someone or something makes you so mad and you just continue to stay that way.Or you just feel depressed or any other negative feeling.

Holding on to that negativity is not good. It is one of the worst things that can happen to you, it'll consume you until you are just a shell.

 So you vent.
To a parent, or if you don't want to tell anyone you:

1: Write all the negative feelings down on a sheet of paper, with your preferred color or overlapping other words, just get everything down then you take scissors and cut it up, if you are a pyro you can burn it in a fireplace or if you want to be the Hulk you can just rip it to shreds.

Then you will feel so much better, because you take all that negativity and transfer it to the page you write on and disperse it.

2: Meditate. Play a song that lifts your spirits and breathe deeply, let the song invade your negativity and defeat it.

3: Play sports. Running, tennis, baseball, any type of sport (preferably something that you can throw) yes you can wear your bad thought out by running but throwing something (not at someone but maybe a wall lol) really helps, and it's satisfying.

4:  Play fps or mmorpg games, maybe assassinate on the AC games (need I say more?)

Unless you want to actually kill some-

*slaps duct tape on Angel* No, shut up.

That is no way to dispel anger, it only makes you stoop to the antagonists level.

Changing your profile picture will not change anything. 

I'm with Angel, have civil unions and what not. Why this whole gay marriage thing is important is beyond me.  Federal Government shouldn't even be discussing it. Civil Union votes belong to the state governments.

Plus there so so many more IMPORTANT discussions to be going on with. How about the troops overseas? the debt we are in? the Gas prices skyrocketing again. 

In conclusion Federal government needs to keep it's fat nose out of state rights.

And off our backs about immaterial, inconsequential, petty trifling.

Not a Good Day So Far

So I woke up early enough and wide awake.

That's a surprise. <.<

And I am on the road, heading to work going 45mph legally, and a car cuts me off and goes 25. I nearly hit him and I honk my horn because he saw me going that fast and decided to be a jerk.

So after that, many people, who are so afraid of driving in a little rain decide to drive 10mph in a 30 zone....

I chose to play "sunshine" by David Guetta, which picks my mood up a little but not much.

And more bad news.

Website Technicians are Useless

I've been on the phone for almost two hours and I am no further than I was. 

Doing work, won't go into details, but I cannot view the next pages of a website, so the "technician" automatically thinks it's my internet. so he asked me to delete the Cache, turn off the Javascript and refresh history.

Then he asks me to try... internet explorer...... so unwillingly, I try it. first it says that explorer cannot connect to the internet when I try again it logs me out.. 

And this guy just kept repeating every single thing he said, as if it makes any progress the more he says it. 

Finally he says it's the chrome update. I tell him that I have had Version 25. for weeks now but he's like "no no, I just updated mine and I am getting the same thing, I can't view the next results."

Point is: never talk to website technicians. Talk technicians that actually understand everything and not just their own website, because it will end up with frustration and ranting..... like I am now.

oh he also suggested that I use Firefox. 

FAT. CHANCE. 

I'll find some other website that can actually work for once.

Ultimately Displeased is not enough.

The Stupidity of Today's Society

I just remembered something absurdly funny. 

I was working at the cash register at Express when this woman walks in. She comes to me, gives me a receipt and says she'd like to return this clothing. As I am getting ready to do so, I ask "May I have the clothing?" ('cause we need to scan them)

she says "I've left it at home." (now I was dumbstruck, thinking it was an accident, but how wrong I was.) 

I said to her that you cannot return an item if you do not have said item to return.

And she gets angry at me and tries to woo me to continue the return saying "Oh couldn't you let it pass this time?"

I wanted to slap that woman silly. 1) for her stupidity and 2) for her stupidity

So then she goes to one of the managers and says that I won't return an article of clothing. He comes by and asks me "What's up" so I tell him that she does not have the clothing she wants to return so my manager says

"Sorry Ma'am, but you need to have the clothing you want to return.

I have such a long way to go and not enough time DX

I am evil to my characters. haha

So I keep a journal of my characters.

I swear, I have different colored pens for each character (my included) and I just write what they think.

They are all in the same room conversing with each other and here is the first day (well half day lol):

As soon as I get the paper, I'll tell you the personality of each character, but from the pages you kinda get the idea XD

Puss or Poltergeist?

I swear to whatever is out there that my cats know how to open the bathroom door.

About a month ago, the cats made a mess in the house so we had to keep them outside.

Of course I did, but my parents took pity on them and placed them in the smallest bathroom (they've been doing well, there is a vent near the floor so they keep themselves warm.

two weeks ago, around 11pm I went down to get some water (I was really dehydrated) and I hear a door open, the creaking noise I mean. but I did not hear any footsteps and I was the only one around. I look over and see the bathroom door open and the cats walking out. 

I put them back in and shut the door and "spy" on them around fifteen minutes later (I turned around for a moment) and the creaking occurs again!

I look over and the cats are roaming again. and it's around this time that I usually hear that strange knocking sound on the garage door which is close by

I'm thinking it's the cats that open the door and it's a handle not a door knob, it's a handle.

It could be that ghost but I don't think so because there is not enough electromagnetic energy (yes I am a dork) around there.

The cats may seem dumb but they have darker intentions that I am not aware of.
